Myrskykustannus Ky (Storm Publishing limited partnership) is a small Finnish publishing house and concentrates on historical mystery stories and science fiction. All the books will be translated from English to Finnish and published in Finnish. We will not read or return unsolicited manuscripts.

The first book we published was the immensely popular Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters. It is the first book in her delightful Amelia Peabody series and it came out in Finnish in November 2008.

Our second book was a very popular opening of a science fiction series: Shards of Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold. It is the first book in her fascinating Miles Vorkosigan series and it came out in Finnish in June 2009.

The price for Lois McMaster Bujold's Kunnian sirpaleita is 25 euros (or the equivalent in your currency) and Krokotiili hiekkasärkällä by Elizabeth Peters costs 23 euros (or the equivalent in your currency). Myrskykustannus is owned by two people: the CEO Mervi Hämäläinen and the vice president Sofia Lod. Mervi has an MA with a major in Translation studies and has translated five books so far. She translated both of our first books. Sofia is a student of English philology and translation.
